BAD LANGUAGE ON FOOTBALL FIELD
CANTERBURY UNION TO ACT [Per United Press Association.J CHRISTCHURCH, May 2. The prevalence of bad language on the football field, especially in lower grade games, was deplored at a meeting of the Canterbury Rugby Union by Mr J. T. Burrows. On his motion it was decided to write clubs and the Referees’ Association in an endeavour to harm such language checked. Mr Burrows said it seemed that the use of had language was practically unchecked by referees.
