CONVICTION ON TWO CHARGES

[Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, April 30. A linger pxint found on the window of a house into which he was alleged to have broken was the chief evidence relied on by the Crown to establish one of the charges against James Perry in the Supreme Court. Ho conducted his own case, and did not give evidence. The accused was found not guilty on the two charges of breaking and entering and theft, hut the jury returned a verdict of guilty on the charge of breaking and entering with the intention of committing theft and on charges of receiving a diamond ring and wristlet watch knowing them to have been dishonestly obtained. His Honour said that ho thought tha verdict was a sensible one. He remanded the prisoner for sentence.
