A YOUNG MAN’S DEATH. The body of Stanley Jones, aged twenty-five, was found on the reclaimed ground at Thorudon with a bullet in the forehead and a rifle alongside. It is believed that the man came from Napier yesterday.—Wellington Press Association. HEAD INJURIES. A serious schooling accident occurred at the Riccarton racecourse this morning, when John Armstrong was rendered unconscious through the horse Cappy Ricks falling at the Steeplechase fence. Ho was taken to the trainers’ room on a stretcher, and afterwards sent to hospital with head injuries. Armstrong is the husband of the owner of Cappy Ricks.: —Christchurch Press Association. A VERDICT OF SUICIDE. At the inquest held to-day concerning the death of Thomas Joseph Donaldson, of Devon street, single, aged twenty-nine, which occurred on April 17, the coroner (Mr W. H. Woodward) said that though there was no evidence of motive there appeared to be no doubt that Donaldson committed ■ suicide, and a verdict would be returned accordingly. The evidence showed that a bottle that had contained poison was found near the body.—New Plymouth Press Association. MOTOR CYCLIST INJURED. Richard Wilson, aged eighteen, residing at 44 Reid road, South Dunedin, was admitted to the hospital at 8 o’clock this morning with concussion and abrasions received when a motorcycle on which he was riding collided with a motor car at the corner of Anderson’s Bay road and Princes street.
