SERIOUS RIOTING

Four people wore killed in serious rioting in and near Gazipnr City between the Hindus and Moslems. Reports are coming in of disturbances in other towns, and in Bihar during the Mohurrum processions. Communal feeling seems greater than ever. POLICE FIRE OH PROCESSION TWENTY-TWO PEOPLE KILLED. CALCUTTA, April 29. (Received April 30, at 11.45 a.in.) Twenty-two people were killed and thirty injured when a military force opened lire on' a Mohurram procession in Sultanpnr in Kapurthalta State. The procession, which consisted of about 6,000 Moslems, defied the orders of the State and tried to take a banned route. The magistrate warned those in the procession to turn back but- the latter advanced instead. The magistrates then called on the military. Forty-one rounds were fired and although a number of Moslems fell the mob refused to turn back until charged with fixed bayonets.
