FINGER PRINT EVIDENCE
BURGLARY CHARGES [Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, April 30. A finger print found on the window of a house into which he is alleged to have broken is the chief evidence relied on by the Crown to establish one of the charges against James Perry in the Supreme Court. The Prosecutor, Mr Macassey) said tho print was similay to accused’s. It was the left middle finger, and according to Senior-sergeant Dinnie, in charge of the criminal investigation branch, there were fourteen points of similarity, making it impossible to be that of anyone else but accused. Perry is charged with breaking and entering, with the intention of thiev T ing, a house in Hansen street, breaking and entering and stealing a handbag, two diamond rings, and a wedding ring, of a total value of £66; also a cheque for £lO from a house on the terrace; breaking and entering a house in Endeavour street, and stealing handbags and a lady’s wristlet watch. . He conducted his own case, and did not give evidence. The jury has retired.
