THE SHARE MARKET

DUNEDIN STOCK EXCHANGE ■ Two reported tales comprised the recorded businesfat the meeting this morning. Ono transaction concerned Dominion Fertilisers, a't an improved figure and the other Nokomai gold mining shares at Is 9d. Bank of New Zealands were fractionally firmer on the buyers’ quotation, while no shares were for sale. The other prices remained unaltered. National Insurance shares had inquiry at I9s 6d. without producing sellers. There was a good demand for shipping shares, and the only seller quoted wide. Kaitangatas and Westports continued to elicit buyers in the coal section. There was little alteration in the meat preserving section, in which most interest seemed to be centred in Refrigerating shares. •.

For Associated Newspaper shares there has been a persistent buyer for some time, and this morning ho offered 23s 9d to elicit a reply of 24s 3d. Broken Hill Proprietary, Colonial Sugars, and Duncdin-Kaikorai Trams had inquiry this morning, while N.Z. Drugs showed a margin of Is between the quotations. New Zealand Breweries showed a further tendency to firm, and Staples had also strong inquiry at 27a. The best buyer for King Solomons was 4s, and sellers required 4s 9d. Okaritos revealed an inclination to firln. but Nevis Diesels showed a further weakening in the sellers’ quotation. Government Loans drew the usual long list of buyers. SALES. ' Reported.—Dominion Fertiliser. 18s; Nokomai, Is 9d. Quotations as under; —
