WINS £2,000
YOUNG DUNEDIN RESIDENT'S GOOD FORTUNE SECOND PRIZE IN “ TATT'S " The pleasant intimation that an investment of six shillings in a Tattersall’s consultation had returned him the second prize of £2,000 was conveyed to Mr H. H. B. Cusack, a young linotype operator in the printing department of the New Zealand Tablet .Co. Ltd. in Filleul street, last evening. Mr Cusack, who is twenty-seven years of age and unmarried, was enjoying a. game of cards at the Hibernian Social Club at Cargill’s Corner when told of his good fortune, and was naturally the recipient of warm congratulations from his friends there. This was Mr Cusack’s second venture in “ Tatt’s, and the-first in which he had taken a ticket alone. He has not yet received the ticket, the number of which, according to a Press Association message received last evening, is 147,446. Mr_ Cusack, who was formerly a prominent League player and wellknown in sporting circles, was being congratulated on all sides when a ‘ Star ’ reporter saw him this morning. He said that he had no particular plans in view at the moment.
