DINGLEY DELL
There’s a strange old woman (as I’ve heard tell) Who lives in a hut in Dingley Dell. She never goes shopping (or so they say) But sits by the fender the whole of the day. What she’s doing all day as she sits Nobody knows. 1 expect she knits Woolly mufflers and cosy socks For Peter Rabbit and old Brer Fox. How she lives it is hard to tell; Perhaps the animals pay her well, Or feed her daily with tasty bits In exchange for mufflers and socks and mits.
