Cummings) to-night announced than proceedings against Mr A. W. Mellon (ex-Sccretary of the Treasury), Mr dames Walker (cx-Mayor of New York), Mr Thomas Lament (a partner in the Morgan Company), and Thomas Sidle (a noted Cleveland lawyer) for alleged tax evasion would bo presented to grand jurors soon by the newlycreated division of the Department of Justice. He also announced that other cases of a similar nature are pending against other individuals. Tiie case against Mr Mellon, it is understood, has been under investigation for some time.
