CALCUTTA, February' 24. _ At a meeting of 5,000 warlike Afridis, addressed by Sir 'Ralph Griffith,Governor of the North-west Frontier Province, the tribesmen’s spokesman pledged loyalty to the Government, and said that they were formulating proposals for economic improvement.
