ON DRIFTING ICE FLOE
FISHERMEN MAROONED IGE BREAKERS TO THE RESCUE Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. MOSCOW, February 25. (Received February 26, at 1.30 a.m.) An aeroplane has been despatched to drop food and medicines on to a drifting icefloe, which has broken away from the main icefield in the Caspian Sea, with 400 fishermen and 190 horses marooned on it. Icebreakers will proceed to the rescue as the aeroplane directs.
