CLUB NOTES MONTHLY MEETING, The cycle section of the Otago Motor" Club held its monthly meeting in th« club rooms on Tuesday evening. Mr C. H. Bingham (chairman) presided over an attendance of over thirty hiembers. Reports of the Brighton sports, pillion run to Bucklands Ford, run to Puketapu, and pillion run to Whara Flat were presented. , Trophies won • during these events were presented to the following members. Messrs A. Bingham, C. Bingham, H. Ferguson, .1. A. Robertson, and J. Cunningham. The Chairman also referred to the wedding of Mr R. Dickie and the forthcoming marriage of Mr A. Watts, and on behalf of the club members presented each with a crystal , bowl as a token of their friendship. Messrs Dickie and Watts suitably replied thanking the members for their gifts. BEACH RACES. On Saturday, March 10, the Otago Motor Club is holding races on Waikouaiti Beach. There will be six events for motor cycles, as follows (1) Four-mile handicap unlimited (novices only), for riders who have never won a beach race. - (2) Sixmile championship, up to 350 c.c. (3) Two-mile scratch race (clutch start). (4) Twelve-mile O.M.C. chain, pionship. (5) Six-mile handicap, open, unlimited. (6) Twelve-mile handicap, open, unlimited. Entries close with tno secretary of the Otago Motor Club oa Monday,' March 5.
