Following the visit ol the Secretary for Air (the Marquess of Londonderry' and Colonel Shelmerdine (Director of Civil Aviation) to Horae recently a provisional agreement has been reached enabling Imperial Airways aircraft operating on the African air service to cross Italian territory by the most convenient route. It is expected that the new route will operate in about three months. EUROPE TO SOUTH AMERICA FIRST REGULAR MAIL. NATAL (Brazil), February 7. The first regular transatlantic air mail services linking Europe and South America became a reality to-day with the arrival of the German flying boat Typhoon with European mail and the departure for Europe of cargo from Rio de Janeiro. The Typhoon brought in more than 8001 b of mail which had loft Stuttgart, Germany, on Saturday morning. A Condor syndicate plane took the mail southward to Rio de Janeiro and Buenos Aires.
