INVITATION TO OTAGO RUNNERS Mr R. C. Morgan, the ex-Otago and New Zealand sprint champion, who is now stationed at Waimate, writes stating that any Otago runners who can compete at the Australian meeting there on February 21 will bo heartily welcomed. The Waimate Amateur Athletic Club will be'prepared to pay the expenses of any New Zealand champions. If the Otago team, returning from the New Zealand championships, were able to break the journey at Waimate billets would be arranged. From Christchurch, M'Farlane, Broadway, Matthews, and others are going down to compete. In addition to the 100yds short-limit handicap, all distances from 100yds to a mile are catered for in the handicaps, and the field events are high jump, hop, step, and jump, broad jump, shot putt, and javelin throwing. Four cycle races, including one scratch event, are also included. Entries close next Tuesday.:
