WHIPPET NOTES

[By Remind.]

The coming season should see a good representation in puppy races. Imatea Girl, Blue Bell, Beta Rose, Scotland’s Best, Bonny Jean, and Cinderella are all due to whelp, and, allowing for 50 per cent, of the litters reaching the track, the club should not suffer for want of nominations. The two puppies, Little Pal and Erin’s Pride, continue to improve, and will have to be reckoned with at future meetings. Alex. Hensleigh is putting in a lot of' time on a good little pup called Hushabye. Alex. •is concentrating on the next miniature race and Waterloo Cup. Fred. Tanner’s team is in the pink of condition. Wynsome Wyn has regained her form, and will certainly win races. The pride of the kennel is Happy Days. The son of Tasman Flight—Miss Argyle is good for another couple of classics before he will be on a mark where he will find it hard to win from. J, and A. Algie never had Tasman and First Flight looking better, _ and it will come as no surprise to see either dog win next time out. . Local will be pleased to hear that Mr J. Mitchell is again taking up whippet racing. The hurdle opposition will know they hare been galloping next time they meet Biplane.
