He has made his fortune, and, in view of the coming law making beer illegal, he prepares to retire. The State intervenes, and summons him to court on a charge of evading income tax. He pleads guilty, is fined heavily, and sent to prison for live years. . ... , . Meanwhile Tracy’s second-in-com-mand becomes ambitious. He reorganises the outfit and starts the ‘ snatch racket.” Famous men disappear, and huge ransoms are demanded. Tracy proves himself a model prisoner, and when he reads in the papers of the latest crime he swears revenge as soon as he is freed. Claire Trevor gives an excellent performance as a young woman reporter, who covers the underworld for her paper. All through Tracy’s adventures Claire Trevor stands loyally by him and helps him to put the final spoke in the kidnappers’ wheel. Other leading roles are played by Ralph Morgan, Matt M'Hugh, Willard Robertson, and Kathleen Burke. The other picture is a comedy, entitled ‘ Olsen’s Big Moment,’ starring El Brendel, the Swedish comedian, together with Barbara Weeks and Walter Catlett. Brendel plays the vole of a janitor in an apartment house, who tries to patch up various broken romances, and he gives his audience plenty to laugh about. In his endeavours to do the right thing be finds himself wound up in a series of complications that eventually get him into trouble, but he manages to bring about a happy ending to the entire affair.
