GIRL RUNS AWAY FROM HOSPITAL

The escapades of. a nine-year-old girl patient who. ran away about 6 o’clock caused excitement and apprehension at the Hawera Hospital last evening. Nurses, a doctor, policemen, and a mim-. her of residents engaged in a wide search before she was located an hour later about three miles away on the South road going in the direction of her grandparents’: home, which is ten miles distant. The child was admitted to live hospital for a minor operation and observation, and was placed in a room by herself. She appeared quite settled when, the nurse visited her a few 'minutes before, her escape. Her aversion for the hospital was apparently sudden.
