TELEGRAPH PICNIC

The annual picnic of the staff of the telegraph branch of the Chief Post Office was held on Sunday under ideal conditions at Whare Flat, where some ninety staff members, together with friends and children, spent an enjoyable day amid pleasant surroundings. A varied programme of events was carried out, the picnic outing proving a pleasant change for all concerned, particularly the children, to whom ice cream, 'sweets, toys, etc., were freely distributed.
