People all along Edward street were forced to vacate their homes, in which the water is now 2ft high. Numbers of people were rescued by boats. A warning was issued that a dam four miles from the town may burst at any moment. General rain is falling. Railway bridges in the north are _ still submerged. A big flood is being experienced at Riverview. The water in one hotel is up to the ceiling. A number of homes were flooded, and the women and children were rescued by , boats. The water is 3ft high in the Town Hall.
