COTTON TISSUES LONDON, January 28. (Received January 29, at 8.35 a.m.) The ‘Observer’ says that following discussions Franco has restored the full quota on many cotton tissues. DISCRIMINATION RESENTED BY BRITAIN. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, January 27. (Received January 29, at noon.) The French quota proposals were discussed by the Parliamentary Secretary of the Board of Trade (Dr Leslie Burgin) before the British Chamber of Commerce in Paris. He said that the British could never accept discrimination such as seemed to be the result from the recent concessions by France to Belgium and the United States. He hoped that they would find their own way out of the position, but in her trading relations with other countries Britain would never tolerate discrimination. The British Ambassador in Paris would, if lie had not already done so, notify the ’ French Government of Britain’s decision to take action if this policy of discrimination was con tin ued.
