LITTLE PRINCESS / ' LONDON, January 14. The Duchess of_ York has "great hopes for the musical ability of the little Princess, says the ‘ Sketch.’ Princess Elizabeth is progressing well .With piano. Princess Margaret Rose, however, promises to outstrip her elder sister, possessing a remarkable ear for music, she immediately detects a false note. She can hum a tune after hearing it once or twice, due to' an inherited ■ tendency in both families. The Duchess has a sweet, attractive voice, which_ is heard at its best singing old ■ Scottish; ballads. ■ , The Queen’s interest in music is ; shown in _a carefully-trained mezzo- ( soprano voice, but she can rarely be induced to sing nowadays, and then when only the family is present.
