THE SEARCH FDR GOLD
INTEREST IN NELSON FIELDS There is a revival of interest in the goldfields of the Parapara district, Nelson. The Mining llesearch Company Limited, Christchurch, has had experts investigating the Parapara field for the last six months. 'The success of the field; depends largely on a substantial water supply, and close investigation of this aspect has been undertaken by engineers. GOLDEN PLATEAU SLUICING Golden Plateau Sluicing Company, which was formed recently with Auckland and West Coast shareholding, has commenced operations at Antonio’s Plat, about three-quarters of a mile from the Greymouth-Reefton , main road, in - the vicinity of Mawheraiti. The property to be worked is a comparatively level plateau averaging from 28ft and 30ft in depth adjoining the area which the Worksop dredge worked some years ago.
