RADIO EDUCATION IN AMERICA

A total of 407 courses In radio are being offered by colleges and universities in the United States. Three hundred and sixty-four are radio engineering and technical courses. Thirty are courses in broadcasting, seven in radio law, three in television, two in the educational uses of radio, and one in radio advertising. These colleges which have television courses arc University of Southern California. State University of lowa, and Massachusetts State Department of Education.' Summer school courses arc offered in the educational uses of radio at Columbia University and Ohio State University. Approximately one col'ege imt of every twenty gives some instruction in the preparation, presentation, use, or evaluation of radio programmes in other college courses or to voluntary groups of students.
