CUP MEETING AT FORBURY PARK

Thursday at Forbury, the lirst day of the Cup Meeting, proved to be very pleasant. Although the morning was overcast, the sun broke through later, and by lunch time no more pleasant day could be desired. The threatening weather, however, rather spoilt the dressing, most lady patrons thinking it wiser to wear suits or coats rather than light summer frocks. Plenty of colour was noticed, and viewed from the stands the lawns provided a very pretty scene. The course itself is looking very nice, and the garden surrounds are beautiful, full of a wealth of summer bloom.
