JUVENILE OPERATIC SOCIETY
A new event in the musical life N of Dunedin this year will be the formation'of % juvenile Operatic Society. Miss Murijl • Eager has, during the last few years, successfully produced the following juvenil* operettas:—‘ The Rose Dream,’ ‘ The Lost Comet,’ ‘ The Sleeping Beauty,’ and ‘ Catching Santa Claus.' - The new operetta, ‘ The Enchanted Musical Box,’ is a charm, ing, work. Rehearsals will commence immediately,' and a short time bach evening will be., given to choral training, in addition to the _ operatic music. The juvenile Operatic Society should give a greater number of talented juveniles an opportunity of self-expression, artistic endeavour, and musical training, proving a,pleasure as well as an education.
