PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at a Special Meeting of the Dunedin Drainage and Sewerage Board convened for the purpose, and held on Wednesday, the 17th day of January, 1934, the following SPECIAL RESOLUTION was''carried—. viz:— •; That, pursuant to the provisions of the “ Local Authorities Interest ■ Reduo* tion and Loans Conversion Act, 1932-3,” and every other Act in that -behalf en- . abling it, and in terms of Orders in, Council. made under the Act abovenamed and published in the ‘New Zealand Gazette’ on the 16th day of November, 1933, and 7th day of December, 1933, which said Orders are entitled respectively tha “Dunedin Drainage and Sewerage Board Loans Conversion .Order, 1933,” and the “ Dunedin Drainage and Sewerage Board Loans Conversion Order, 1933 (No. 2),”the Dunedin Drainage and Sewerage Board doth hereby resolve as follows: — 1. That the said Board issue new securities in conversion of the exist* ing securities of the loans set out in the schedule hereto, being the loans affected by the Loans Conversion Orders hereinbefore referred to, and that such issue of securities be known as the “Dunedin Drainage and Sewerage Board Conversion Loan, 1934.” ’ 2. That each of the, new securities to he issued shall be for a sum of ' One Hundred Pounds, Five Hundred Pounds, or One Thousand -Pounds,' and -shall mature on the appropriate dates set out in the said Orders jn Council, provided, however, that the Board may at its option redeem, such new securities on such . authority, may specify hi a notice in that behkTf 'to’be published in the' Gazette ’ at least 3 months before such earlier date. :i 3. That the amount of the new securities to be so issued shall be for a , sum not exceeding in the aggregate Five Hundred and Sixty-three Thousand Pounds (£563,000). . . 4. That the rate of interest payable on the new securities shall he Four and One-quarter per cent. (4i per cent.) per annum, payable half-yearly in’ each and every year during the currency of such securities, or until the sama are fully redeemed, and that coupons be annexed toj each such security accordingly. \ 5. That the security for the interest and sinking fund and the repayment of the said new securities be a special annually recurring rate of Sevenpenca (7d) in the pound (fi) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property of the Dunedin Drainage and Sewerage Dv>- ■ trict, comprising the whole of the City of Dunedin and the Borough of’St* Kilda, ■6. That sinking funds be established in connection witb the said new securities by setting apart annually the following sums—viz., tor the new securities to be issued in respect cf Group A loans as set out in ‘the-schedule hereunder, £1,600; for the new securities to be issued in respect of Group B loans as set out in the schedule hereunder, £2,500; for the new securities to, be issued in respect of Group C loans as set out in the schedule, hereunder* £2,800; and for the new securities to be issued-in respect of the loan comprised in the Loans Conversion Order, 1933 (No. 2), as set out in the schedule hereunder, ,£480; provided that each such sinking fund contribution shall bo reduced by the amount of the annual sum (if any) appropriated by tha Board as. sinking fund for the unconverted securities in each of the afore* said loan Groups A, B. and C and the loan comprised in the Loans Conversion Order, 1955 (No. 2). ' 7, That the borporate Seal of the Board be affixed to all such new securities, all of which, together with the relative coupons, shall'be signed by tha Chairman and counter-signed by the Deputy-secretary, but so that their respeo- ; tire signatures .to the coupons may be lithographed on such coupons.
