(Received January 25, at 11 a.m.) The Walvis Bay dam burst, turning the town into a vast lake. Swakopmund is also isolated. Tugs are bringfoodstuffs from Windhoek. The dam showed big gaps. Labourers worked day and night arid constructed a sandbag wall. Aeroplanes are conveying outlying farmers in the northern territory to safety.
