RAVENSBOURNE REGATTA
19 BE HELD ON FEBRUARY 17 At a meeting held in the Ravensbourne boat shed on Tuesday evening, presided over by Mr 1. H. Harridge, as Mayor of West Harbour, it was decided that the annual regatta be held on Saturday, February 17, and the following .officers were elected; — Commodore, Mr I. H. Harridge; chairman of committee, Mr W. Webber; vice-commodores —Messrs H. E. Moller, J. D. Cameron, J, MTherson, A. D. Asher, A. W. Hazelwood, C. W. Sundstrum, A. Burt, H, Camp, J. S. C. Somerville, J. Vivian; secretary, Mr J. Robertson; assistant secretary, Mr H. N. Treurn; treasurer, Mr P. T. H. Young; auditor, Mr C. George; handicappers Yachts, Messrs A. Grant and A. D. Asher, motor boats,' Mr J. Barton; starters—Messrs J. D. Cameron, C. J. Hook, C. Boswell; timekeepers—Messrs W. 0. Martin, C. George, and F. Shanks; judges, Messrs G. Currie, and G. E. Kellett; swimming stewards, Messrs F. Mitchell and E. Evans; model yacht stewards— Messrs C. Booth, W. Mahs, and C. Anthony; compjittee—Messrs J. Murdoch, R. Guthrie, D. . Davidson, J. Young, R. Todd, V. Wilson, J. Chalmers, J. Tomlinson, M. Rutherford, R. Cardno, P. MTherson, W.‘Gordon, R. E. Saunders, W. Watkins. It was decided to canvass the district for funds, as in previous years, and the following collectors were appointed Black Jack’s Point to Manuka street, Mr W. Watkins; Manuka street, to Bishop street, Messrs Anthony and Saunders; Bishop street to Castle street,. Mr H. N. Treurn; Castle street to Royal terrace, Messrs Murdoch and Todd; Royal terrace to Burkes, Mr J. Robertson*. It was decided to hold the next meeting on Monday, January 29.
