A. Young) has been delegated to supervise these arrangements. , ; . . ' The welcome and tribute to their Excellencies Lord and Lady Bledisloe will take place at 2.30 p.m. on Monday, February 5. Their Excellencies will be welcomed to the Marae according to Maori custom. Speeches of welcome will be delivered by the Prime Minister (Mr Forbes), the Minister of Finance (Mr Coates), the Native Minister (Sir Apirana Ngata), and representatives of the Maori tribes. At the conclusion of his reply His Excellency will present to Makea Niu Tmira, Anki of Rarotonga, the 0.8.8. conferred upon him by the King on the occasion, of His Majesty’s last birthday. : On Tuesday, February 6,Ministers of the Crown will hold a conference with the Maori chiefs. The principal question to be discussed at this conference relates to the problem of rating on Native lands. '
