Subject to definite conditions, the rules say that the veilue of matches shall be decided by a majority of the entrants. Lindrum’s name was not listed as defending the title! Joe Davis says the rules were there iu the event of the players not agreeing to the venue, when the decision was left to the Billiards Association.
‘ Sporting Life ’ says: “ Linclrum' is either a confirmed ‘leg-puller” or he has no idea of procedure. He, holds the British and not the Empire or world’s title. There never has been a British championship contested overseas.”
