ARTILLERY CARNIVAL

There is no diminishing in the popularity of the military carnival, which is being held at Central Battery, St. Kilda, and another happy crowd of merrymakers thronged the grounds last night. The rolldown and sideshows were attractive to many, while the presentation of an incident which occurred during the Boer War proved to be a well-acted reproduction. During the evening selections were played by the St. Kilda Band. Another spectacular air raid and night attack will be presented to-night, while to-morrow afternoon the public will have the opportunity of seeing something novel in the way of dog shows. Prizes are to be awarded for the ugliest, prettiest, heaviest, lightest, shortest, tallest, longest, best kept, best dressed, and best trick dogs. This show should be great fun for adults and children alike.
