(Received November 30, at 10 a.m.) About seventeen miles of railway line between Gipps and Kinalong was washed away in a terrific downpour of rain. Railway traffic to Broken Hill is disorganised. The rainfall in the far west is without parallel. Areas that have been dry for years are now inundated. As the result of the monsoonal storm, floods are expected in the upper Darling area.
