MEETING OF EXECUTIVE Those present at the monthly meeting of the executive of the Dunedin Returned Soldiers’ Association last night were the president (Mr A. ,1. Gordon), Messrs P. S. Anderson, W. F. Forrester, J. L. Napier, J. S. Skinner, and A. S. Falconer, G. Ferens, H. L. Paterson, and B. Ellis. It was reported by the secretary that in connection with the membership campaign, with Christchurch, the Dunedin total stood at 1,954, a drop of eight since the last meeting. The Christchurch total was 1,743. The chairman commented on the satisfactory state of the Dunedin figures, and said that there was every chance of the 2,000 mark being reached before the end of tbo financial year. It was decided to appoint Mr J. R. Robertson as the association’s representative on the mayor’s Central Relief Committee. The nominations of seventeen new members and three honorary members were accepted. One death was recorded. A letter from the general secretary, Wellington, acknowledged the association’s letter regarding the movement to form an cx-Jmperial Servicemen’s Association, and stated that the desire of ex-imperial men to have an association of their own was appreciated and welcomed provided that such an association was formed for the, purpose of social reunions, etc., and to maintain the spirit of comradeship.—Received.
