Two further meetings were held to discuss the question, and written opinions were submitted by several members. A motion was finally carried favouring a limitation of tliis construction to buildings one story in height above foundations. Tbe opinion of the brand) was forwarded to the Dunedin City '’’orporation ns requested, end the committee oppressed its appreciation of the action of the city building surveyor in seeking the advice of the brand) in a matter affecting the building by-laws of the city.
