REPUBLICAN TACTICS

ACTIVITY IN ULSTER ELECTIONS DE VALERA LIKELY TO WIN SEAT Pres* Asuociation—By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, November 28. (Received November 29, at 11.5 a.m.) Lord Craigavon is assured of a substantial majority in the Northern Irish elections, in which the chief interest is the Republicans’ onlaught on four Nationalist seats. It is assumed that Mr De Valera will win the South Down seat, but that he will follow the old line of abstention. Should he take the oath and attend, he will find the rules so circumscribed that he will not have an opportunity of raising constitutional issues.
