POETIC JUSTICE
SWASTIKAS PAINTED ON COWS VIENNA, November 17. An instance of poetic justice is reported from Sladrning, where an unknown person painted swastikas on cows belonging to an anti-Nazi fanner. The police rounded up the district’s active Nazis, and compelled them, in the proportion of one Nazi to one cow, to remove the paint, and also clean the farmer’s stables. . Already there are a number of instances in Austria of Nazis, irrespective of whether they arc known to be guilty, being compelled to remove sivastikas illegally painted on public buildings and elsewhere.
