' TABLET' CHRISTMAS NUMBER The Christmas number of the ‘ Now Zealand Tablet ’ provides a feast of good reading. Numerous articles, stories and poems are provided suitable to the festive season. The dominion gets a good share of publicity, which makes the journal suitable for sending to friends abroad. One article of special interest is an appreciation, by Eileen Duggan, of the work of Thomas Bracken, who wrote ‘ Not Understood.’ The number, very appropriately, has interesting references to the Maori and Ids customs, and an article that will appeal to cricket- lovers is 4 Cricket Hero-wor-ship, Expressed in Verso,’ by “G.A.W.,” which, in its way, covers the history of the game for the last hundred years or more. The number reveals much care and thought in its production.
