WALKER BEATEN RUMBERG WINS ON POINTS. [Per United Press Association.] CHRISTCHURCH, October 10. George Walker was defeated by Hal Rumberg in a contest here to-night before a crowded house. The decision was on points after each had one fall. Rumberg took a fall in the fourth round and Walker in the sixth. Rumberg, who secured points in the early rounds, endured severe punishment in the final round, the bout being very sovero and fast. MAMOS BEATS MEESKE *■ [Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON,. October 16. In the Town Hall to-night Manios beat Meesko by two falls to one. The contest was unimpressive, but reached a climax in the seventh round when the pair indulged in fisticuffs. Meeske was knocked down several times with back-handed slaps to the jaw, and was helpless and apparently groggy. He was then thrown about the ring with headlocks until Mamos brought the exhibition to a close with a cross-buttock and press.
