Devereux (Australian wool growers’ representative) reports:— Bradford prices for merino tops moved against the buyer. Some business was transacted, and the output was maintained. There was some business m medium and fine cross-bred tops, with slightly higher prices. Cross-bred yarns were firm at last week’s level. There was a ratlier better tone and more inquiry, but little new business in most of the Continental markets, which were somewhat disturbed by political and currency complications, The sales of topi in Germany lately have been only moderate. The Continental futures markets are more active, and the recent decline in quotations has been recovered.
