(Received September 22, at 10.20 a.m.) .The flags of fifty-four nations, as a symbol of her world leadership, encircled the bier at the cremation with Hindu rites of the remains of Mrs Annie Besant. Over 20,000 people walked in the procession, chanting a funeral dirge. All religions were represented.
