Applications for 425 bursaries were received during the past year, as compared with 321 in the previous year, stated the Executive Committee s report, which was submitted to the annual meeting of the Trentham Scholarship war fund to-day. Of these applications 360 had liecn accepted and awards made amounting to Since then, sometimes at the request of the applicant, it had been found necessary to cancel some of the awards, totalling £265. Since the inception of the tund in 1921 the sum of £51,688 has been paid to bursars, representing 2,450 bursaries and affecting 1,013 children. ■. Dr E. Marsden, Mr W. Appleton, Major L. C. Forgie, and Mr G. A. Troup were re-elected to the Executive Committee.
