‘ZOO IN BUDAPEST'
UNUSUAL FILM FOR OCTAGON Jesse L. Lasky’s first production under the banner of Fox Film, ‘ Zoo in Budapest,’ opens at the Octagon Theatre on Friday,-and it is said to prove a worthy beginning for that master’s return to the ranks of active motion picture production. The film sets a new standard in worth-while screen fare, as it traces the emotions of humans and the correlating instincts of animals. Loretta Young and Gene Raymond, it is claimed, are as captivating a pair of lovers as have been seen on the screen in a long time. They unfold the romance of the film with rare simplicity and freshness. The supporting cast, headed by 0. P. Heggie, is an excellent one. It includes, among others, Wally Albright, Paul Fix, Murray Kinnell, Ruth Warren, Roy Stewart, and Frances Rich.
Rowland V. Leo did a fine job in direction against a background that is truly unusual.
