WAGE INCREASE REFUSED Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. SYDNEY, September 7. The Federal Arbitration Court to-day refused an application by the Australian Workers’ Union for a substantial increase in wages for shearers and others engaged in the pastoral industry. The court held that tho recent increase in the price of wool was not sufficient to restore the pastoral industry to the sound position that it enjoyed before the slump.
