(Received September 7, at 8.30 a.m.) A “ convoy sloop ” is the latest experimental vessel that _ the Navy is shortly ordering. The size, speed, and armaments are not revealed. The vessel is designed to combat small enemy trade route attackers, also submarines. It is part of a scheme to strengthen Britain’s trade routes.
