THE DEFENCE SYSTEM. Cabinet will shortly be asked to consider plans- for the reorganisation of tho defence system. The Minister (Mr Cobhe) has received reports from the officers in command of the various branches of tho system, and will shortly be in a position to place the completed proposals before his colleagues. The immediate reorganisation is not expected jo he extensive. It is probable that the main attention will be devoted to strengthening the air defences.---Wellington Press Association.
