MILKING SHED TRAGEDY
MAN'S STEPS TRACED TD RIVER INTENSIVE POLICE SEARCH FOR GRYLLS (Pits United Phesb Association.] TAUMAIIUNDI, September 4. So far no arrest has been made in connection with the death of Miss Jean llosomau (23), who was found shot at the rear of the milking shed of a farm in Owhaugo on Sunday morning. The police traced the footmarks of a man from the cowshed across a ploughed field to the bank of the Whakapapa River nearby. In addition to tlie local police and detectives, ten constables from other districts have arrived to take part in the search for the missing man. John Grylls, the young man who has not been seen since the tragedy, was employed by Mr Laing on the farm, but his engagement was terminated qii Friday last, and he was to have vacated the wharo to-day. He was last seen at the dance which Miss Rosoman attended in Owhango on Saturday night.
