1 , "■ - BROADCASTING STATIONS TAKEN OVER. The Postmaster - General (Air Hamilton) announced to-day that, following- lengthy negotiations, ho had in his capacity as AJinister of Telegraphs, taken over from Lewis Kady Limited, Auckland, broadcasting station IZR (Auckland) and from-2ZW Broadcasting Service Limited (Wellington), broadcasting station 2ZW (Wellington. The change in control took effect from yesterday. The Minister added that the stations would continue to bo operated for the present by their former owners. Later it was expected that the stations would form part of the national broadcasting service.
