TUNNELLERB RESUME WORK IPer United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, September 4. Work was resumed on the Tawa Flat tunnel to-day. The tunnellers, numbering 120, have been on strike from August 8. The conditions to which the Minister finally agreed were £1 per shift to all men engaged on_ the “ break ” in the tunnel for a fortnight, by which time the “ break ” will be finished. Holiday privileges are not affected by the action of the men ceasing work, and operate from to-day.
