DR GERALD SHARP ARCHBISHOP OF BRISBANE.Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright, BRISBANE, August 30.The death is announced of the Most Rev. Dr Gerald Sharp, Anglican Archbishop of Brisbane. He was acting Primate of Australia after the death of Archbishop Wright some time ago. He was 68 years of age, and had previously been Bishop of New Guinea from 1910 to 1921. MR W. R. SMYTH Our Lawrence correspondent telegraphs:—Mr William R. Smyth, who was well known _in mining circles, died here last evening. He was in his sixtieth year.
