These are some of the minor details of construction in the new 20,000-ton fireproof motor liner Oceania being built in Japan, and disclosed here today by officers of the Japanese steamer Victoria Harm Her bridge and deck superstructure are wholly of metal, and a fire-resisting compound takes the place />*' varnish throughout where wood is used. All electric wiring will be completely insulated, and the safety-chamber system will be utilised for tho lighting. Her construction was prompted by the, number of disastrous fires at sea in recent years.
